The Roman Period is the last of ancient Greek art. Infact, it constitutes the last gasp of ancient Greece, whose civilisation travelled to the West through the Romans. Sculpture during the Roman Period produced exquisite replicas of classical pieces, like that of Doryforos by Polyclitus, Aphrodite Knidias by Praxiteles and an important collection of portraits of Roman Emperors.
